Frontier webmail pop3 and smtp settings??

To enable SSL encryption in Outlook Express, you will need to do the following:

  1. Click Tools, then Accounts
  2. Click the Mail tab, then click Properties. If the account is not already setup, you can find directions to setup your email account in Outlook Express here.
  3. Click the Servers tab.
  4. Make sure that you have pop3.frontier.com for the incoming server and smtp.frontier.com for the outgoing server.
  5. Click the Advanced tab.
  6. For the outgoing mail server type 465. Check the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
  7. For the incoming mail server type 995. Check the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
  8. Click Ok.  That's it!  SSL encryption is now enabled.
